Lex Alimentaria has a multi-talented team led by its founder Daniele Pisanello, legal expert on food law. It is ready to assist clients with Italian food regulatory compliance issues, labelling law issues, commercial issues and acting on your behalf in your legal and business transactions or disputes. Lex Alimentaria also offers competence in training services in the field of food market. Since 2006, its founder Daniele Pisanello is a regular speaker at conferences and training programmes for staffs performing official controls on food, in Italy and beyond.

Lex Alimentaria specialises in providing legal services for the food industry. The legal practice focuses mainly on product regulations on the Single Market with special regards to marketing standards in the field of agricultural products and foodstuffs, conformity assessment of safety requirements, hygiene rules, food labelling and information for consumer, free movement, geographical indications, sanctions and penalties, responsibilities and product related liabilities; trade practices law advisory and conflict resolution including misleading and deceptive conduct in marketing and advertising of goods and services; regulatory compliance; insurance law and protection of intellectual property rights; business transactions and commercial law advisory for food companies including co-manufacturing agreements, supply and distribution agreements, agency agreements, technology agreements; administrative law including advisory, conflict resolution and administrative appeals involving Ministry of Health, Antitrust Authority, State and local government, Official Control Authorities; dispute resolution or litigation services.

Its founder, Daniele Pisanello is the Executive Director of the EFFL Summer Academy on Food Law & Policy. From 2005 to 2007 He was charged with the scientific planning and implementation of the Master in Food Law established by the University of Turin – Faculty of Law. Daniele also lectured extensively at this Master. Daniele Pisanello is trainer at EIPA (European Institute of Public Administration) in the field of EU Food Law and Official Controls. He regularly writes on Food Law issues for both legal journals and magazines in Italian and English.

Italy switches vitamins’ daily intakes for supplements
New maximum levels of vitamins for food supplements on the Italian market have recently been set by the Ministry of Health. New maximum amounts of daily intakes of vitamins and minerals for foodstuffs mark important amendments: new daily amounts for  Vitamin C, B1, B2, and B6 are quite doubled in respect of previous levels and higher levels are provided for B12 and Pantothenic Acid contents.
