|
New maximum levels of vitamins for food supplements on the Italian market have recently been set by the Ministry of Health. New maximum amounts of daily intakes of vitamins and minerals for foodstuffs mark important amendments: new daily amounts for Vitamin C, B1, B2, and B6 are quite doubled in respect of previous levels and higher levels are provided for B12 and Pantothenic Acid contents.
Additionally, new list for admitted and excluded plants and plant-based product in food supplements are now available.
New upper levels will help European Companies involved in trade in supplements on the Italian Market to partially overcome some constraints and barriers established in the field of nutrition as regards maximum amounts of nutrients.
